Martine Bond is an executive vice president responsible for Trading and Clearing within State Street Global Markets. Trading and Clearing provides clients with market-leading electronic trading platforms across the foreign exchange (FX) and fixed income asset classes, as well as comprehensive futures and over-the-counter (OTC) clearing services.
Prior to joining State Street, she worked at Morgan Stanley, where she ran the FX Prime Brokerage and Clearing businesses, and the FX Gateway multi-manager investment portal. Ms. Bond was the global COO for the Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets business, where she was responsible for developing and implementing key strategic business growth opportunities for the business. From 2004 to 2009, Ms. Bond led the FX Prime Brokerage business for JPMorgan where she was responsible for developing and executing core product strategies for alternative clients. Between 2000 and 2004, she managed the European Equities Client Management team.
Mr. McKenzie is a senior managing director responsible for the platforms of Currenex, FX Connect and Fund Connect.
Mr. McKenzie joined State Street in 2010 and prior to taking his current position in 2015 was head of Electronic Trading and Distribution of FX on the principal side of the Global Markets FX business.
Mr. McKenzie has 35 years of FX industry experience having held various bank FX trading and eCommerce management related roles at institutions including Security Pacific in Los Angeles, Dresdner Bank in London and most recently with Citigroup as European head of their subsidiary Lava Trading.
Mr. McKenzie is a non-executive board member of Digital Vega FX Ltd in London and the Eris Exchange Holdings, LLC in Chicago.
David Newns is a senior managing director at State Street and global head of Currenex, as well as President of SwapEx.
Previously, Mr. Newns was chief operating officer for State Street Global Exchange Trading & Clearing. Prior to this role, he was head of State Street eExchange EMEA. He has more than 13 years of experience in the eFX industry, having joined Currenex in 2001 as a founding member of Currenex’s London operation. Prior to joining Currenex, David held several positions in technical services at MicroStrategy, a leading global provider of enterprise software platforms for business intelligence.
David holds a Master of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies from Cambridge University, UK.
Harsha Bhat is a senior managing director and chief technology officer for Trading and Clearing and for State Street Global Exchange.
Before taking on his current role, he was the chief technology officer for State Street eExchange where he lead all aspects of product management, development and infrastructure for the trading products offered by State Street Global Exchange, including FX Connect®, Currenex®, SwapEx, GovEx® and Fund Connect®.
Mr. Bhat has more than 25 years of industry experience, including deep expertise in low latency trading technologies, large scale distributed system and trading user interfaces. He was an early member of the Currenex team and was involved in all aspects of the platform, including design and architecture, and led development.
Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Bhat held management and engineering positions at startup and large companies in Silicon Valley, including Everest Design Automation (acquired by Synopsys), Silicon Graphics and Ansoft Corporation (acquired by Ansys).
He received a master's in computer science from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor's in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
Rick Schonberg is a senior managing director responsible for product strategy and build-out of all platforms that comprise the trading and clearing suite of solutions.
Mr. Schonberg is a 20-year veteran of electronic trading on Wall Street. He joined State Street after nine years at Goldman Sachs, where he most recently served as the head of FX eCommerce. Prior to this role, Rick was chief operating officer for global strategy and implementation of electronic trading initiatives at Goldman. His previous roles at EBS and JPMorgan also focused on e-trading solutions. Prior to EBS and JPMorgan, Mr. Schonberg managed electronic trading strategy for e-Capital Markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
